Using Fujicolor 200 film:

Using the magnifier on the waist level viewfinder, didn't need my glasses
to shoot these. I don't think I could have done better with glasses, anyway,
since wind and camera shake are also focus factors. Shots were at f2 or
f2.8 (mostly) today.

Nice results, Bill!. Did you use the Tessar for these?.

My fav, the #1, although all are very fine!

Jes.

Lovely camera Bill and great colours on all the shots, although a tad grainy for my taste. Now all you need is a Killfitt 400 and you can pretend you're Jimmy Stewart Smile

Thanks, Peter, I remember that shot you posted some while ago! Wink I
find it interesting in these that #2 was mistakenly metered for ISO 100
rather than the 200 in the cam, and has the least grain. Hummm.

Thanks again,

Bill

Bill, did you check the exposure of the actual negs? Maybe the scan software has compensated for underexposure of 1, 3 & 4, and that might account for the grain. It means maybe the shutter speeds need checking. Send the camera over here so Jes and I can have a play with it! Wink

Hi everyone...

I just joined because I was looking for information on an old camera I found. It's an Exakta VXIIa. It is identical to the picture that was posted by Katastrofo. Unfortunately, when it was given to me, the lens mount was Bent and the lens won't mount. I was wondering if anyone here can tell me how to find parts, a repair manual or even a place that can repair this beauty. Thanks in advance!

-

Our government has kept us in a perpetual state of fear - kept us in a continuous stampede of pseudo patriotic fervor - with the cries of grave national emergency. always there has been some terrible evil to gobble us up if we did not blindly rally behind it by furnishing the exorbitant funds demanded. Yet, in retrospect, these disasters seem never to have happened, seem never to have been quite real. - General Douglas McArthur

The whole aim of practical politics is to keep the populace alarmed (and hence, clamorous to be led to safety) by menacing it with an endless series of hobgoblins, most of them imaginary. - H.L.Mencken

The people can always be brought to the bidding of the leaders. That is easy. All you have to do is tell them they are being attacked, and denounce the peacemakers for lack of patriotism and exposing the country to danger. It works the same in any country.
Herman Goering at the Nuremberg Trial
