Exakta Varex IIB 2nd opinion

I shoot a test roll with a exakta varex IIB and got 39 frames on a fujicolor c200 film. 10 of them have a black vertical band covering the right side of the frame, but some of them have a stripe of the right side exposed, like this ones ( forgive the scan quality, it's for preview only):

The other 29 frames are ok. My guess is the 2nd curtain it's lazy and depending on the shutter speed it is causing the problem, but i don't understand the small correctly exposed area within the black area.

Before I dismantle the camera I would like to ask if someone here has any opinions on this?
