After fighting with this danged HP scanner, I've decided to get an Epson.

http://www.betterscanning.com makes custom film holders for
several models of Epson scanners, including the one you have, Orio! Smile

My HP scanner is making bands of yellow on my medium format negs
which are clean and clear of such marks when I remove them from the
OEM holders Mad

Just won an Epson 3170 on ebay for $69! Was rarely used and looks in
great shape. Now I can use those film holders by betterscanning. Wink
