Just doing a few more scans of the holidays, I noticed that the Epson interface has you scan several images then gives you an interface to convert to jpg. I found this a bit annoying as I didn't want to convert to jpg then come back to the scan interface and wait for it to warm up, or scan a number of images without knowing if one of your previous scans was OK. It occurred to me that it must store these image somewhere and here it is

C:\Program Files\EPSON\Smart Panel\ScanImg\App

This contains the bitmaps before they convert them to jpg.
