Hi everybody, I bought this lens on Ebay, "As new" of course, but the blades of the diaphragm are "broken" ! I need to disassemble the lens to fix it.
I really don't understand how to disassemble the lens ? I took off all the screws everywhere, but impossible to reach the diaphragm ???

Does anybody knows how to do that ?
Any help will be appreciate Crying or Very sad

here is the lens

I haven't worked on one of these, but on some of the other zooms, the aperture assembly is hidden behind the front elements. You will probably need to work your way back from the front. If you are lucky there may be a section that will come off with the small set screws to allow access. Look under the rubber grips, especially the non-moving ones if they are there.

Sorry not much help, but it's a start.

Thanks for the help,
I found a way to dissasemble the zoom, it's incredible, there was a very small screw hiden in a hole but at the back of the lens.
To access the diaphragm, you have to dissasemble the whole lens !!!!!!
I never saw that before, every part including the zoom feature has to be taken off, incredible, I will upload picture for fun.
Anyway, the blades are broken, I have 3 or 4 blades missing, I think this lens will go to the trash now !!

Wait! Shocked

Before you trash it, post some pictures. It's an interesting looking lens, someone here might want to rescue it before it hits the bin! Wink

Had that lens once (maybe still layys aroudn somewhere), not worth it, very early zoom design, results are quite disappointing. And heavy it is....
