The Duck image looks pretty sharp, whereas the other not so much and the contrast seems to be on the soft side?

I think AF chip made a little joke with me and lens not same sharp than CZJ lenses, I am curious how perform as portrait lens, a bit softness a real advantage there.

I am curious too. Very Happy

What is the lens' linage? Is it any relationship with any other German
85mm lenses at that era?

Congrats on the lens Attila.
... never ever heard about Enna Ennalyt Laughing the name already sounds exciting.

From the samples it looks like it could be a great portrait lens.

Cheers
Tobias

I think they have no relationship , Klaus no lot more from Enna, he personally know who designed them.

It's a Double Gauss Design, designed by the Enna designer at that time about when I was born. I'm sure he knew the state of the art at that time and worked from there. I don't see a lineage other than there was an ENNASTON lens before with different mechanics, but most likely same optics (and unknown coating). This lens fetches quite some $$$$ still today.

[from Frank Mechelhoffs great site, who took it from Brandt's lens book...]

Congratulations !!

It seems to me that you have a great value item collector.

Nice portrait lens, it was made for this job (like leica's summarex). With enna quality, this is good quality but not Zeiss nor Leica ones.

Your pics? Better talent than lens.

Regards, Rino.
