In the store I saw a enna ennalyt 85 mm. F/1,5. It's not cheap, but I don't know the quality of this lens. In the same league that the czj 75 F/1,5? Anybody knows it?

I don't know for this lens, but in general Enna is only average quality.

I never seen any Enna lens what is in same league with Carl Zeiss. I guess this lens expensive becuase fast and rare , like 135mm f1.5 Vivitar.

Thank you, very much for your opinions an your time.

Attila : I think like you. Did you see www.phasecom/recbo/compare_75_80_75.

If you didn't see this, it's a comparation between Biotar 75 F1,5 - pancolar 80 F1,8 and CZ 85 F/1,4. In the curiosity way, no more.

The only test I saw on this lens if I remember correctly showed poor figures at full aperture , and so-so results at f/8, f/11 . This lens is a collector item ! A j-9 or helios-40 are far better and cheaper ...
My enna gear (Ennalyt 24,28,35,135,240,300) is generally speaking under common multi-branded japanese lenses of the same era ... and mechanically very under (Poor plastic stuff for the late production , a shame for german industry !)

I know him and his works. We made some personal email before this test. In my opinion this lenses has own character I have Biotar and Pancolar already and I am sure I will get soon Planar 85.

Even if Biotar and Pancolar my favourite lenses I can't say which one is better , they are top lenses and do different jobs very well. So I suppose all three lenses are exceptional but not really comparable .

I have 2 Enna Munchen lens. Both under Tele-Ennalyt name
One is 4.5/240, (ver IV - all black) which is far above average and second - one of my best lenses - 2.8/90 (zebra).
4.5/240, @4.5

the lens and coke

2.8/90, @2.8

Enna 2.8/90 - first lens from left

The 240 is small design, no? It seems reaaly good and the picturers confirm this. The 240 and the zebra 90 are more modern that the 85 F1,5 all chrome pre-preset times with very thin coated and not in all the surfaces. For the F/1,5 aperture humm.... Confused

The rendition from the 2,8/90 is very nice, especially the 4th pics. I will looking for this lens.

BTW: I think, the 1,5/85 is a great lens. I saw some samples in flickr.

I heard different stories about enna lenses. I think that if you go to http://www.camerapedia.org/wiki/42mm_screw_lenses#Steinheil and there to Enna Munchen part - all the lenses there are good and very good. But we have to remember that Enna was an OEM lens producer and later they developed lenses for Quelle also under name Revue and Revuenon. We have also Enna lenses from "gray market" - I am positive about it. I saw several Enna lenses wort nothing or even less.
1.5/85 it could be outstanding quality lens. "Could be". You have to check it in the store.
