Very, very well done.

Wanderful.

All of us know about your talent.

All of us know about that marvelous lens.

But the beauty of that pics surprised me. Especially 3D of the second.

Excellent use of a Biotar!
I need to use mine.
I keep thinking I should, but I have it stuck in my head I need to use it for portraits.
That is wrong of course, as you demonstrate.

It was a test for me too Luis, wanted to know if that OOF rendering of the Biotar
when wide open could be used to generate an impression I was looking for. It did!

The forest looks enchanted, indeed, and your photos reveal its charming wild beauty.
Very nice photos, Klaus.

Thanks guys!

@Dan: indeed, it was bequeathed to the city of Mannheim by a rich Industrialist,
Carl Reiss, who wanted it to stay forever untouched and so it is still today. A
wonderful nature reserve which I frequently visits for long walks. Very special
place it is...

No, not at all - overall, it is one of the "unsharpest" lenses I have ever used on Full Frame (out of about 500 lenses).
There are, however, two exceptions:

1) stopped down by 5-6 stops (ie to f8 or better f11) the lens becomes very sharp, and it has little CAs (comparable to, but not identical as 85mm classics such as the Nikkor 1.8/85mm, the Rokkor 1.7/85mm or the FD 1.8/85mm)

2) A very small central spot - maybe 8mm diameter - is quite sharp even at f2.

Well Stephan, I agree! But it wasn't about sharpness here...
