Early morning tour

I like to take, in the summer, early morning tours, around 4:30 or 5:00 (but getting later with the days Crying or Very sad ) , when most other people sleeps and the wise photographer can catch the best light Wink

This morning I had with me two lenses, the Distagon 25mm and the Elmarit-R 135mm. I wasn't "in the key" for anything normal in between Wink
Of course the tour was a near one, around my hills.

So here's some of the shots:

1) Distagon 25mm

2) Distagon 25mm

3) Elmarit-R 135mm

4) Elmarit-R 135mm

More to follow...

No problem! With the Distagon, I used f/11 in most shots (whenever it was possible). With the Elmarit, I used f/8 or f/5.6 depending of course on the available light.

Nicely done, Orio!

Ahmm, you make me think. You work until late at night (2.00 or 3.00 am) and then you go on those early morning walks?
What time do you sleep?

Your pics show it again that the early morning is along with the evening the best time for photographers. Great pics!

Even on my laptop at work these look great! Fully agree about early
morning or late afternoon having the best light. All my midday pics
except for just a few, have been throwaways.

I prefer early morning over late afternoon, for the following reasons:

1- much less people around, whatever kind of photography you are taking (of course except street photography!)

2- not-so-warm colour cast

3- much less air pollution

4- morning haze (contrary to many photographers, I like it, because it adds depth)

5- pleasantly cooler temperatures (in the summer)

6- I am energetic and more focused (in late afternoon I am tired)
