Very nice!

That bokeh reminds me of Minolta MC Rokkor PG 50 1,4 wide open.

I like the wide open shots ,but on last few images ,the bubbles show part of the iris closed ,but blades are not working all together?

I think it works. When a lens is stopped down just a little you will only see the full aperture shape in the middle. And parts of it in the edges.

Lovely images. I see now why it is so highly sought after (and commands quite high prices for a vintage normal).

There are two aperture modes. In the first case, the aperture blades are completely removed, in the second case they stick out slightly. In both modes, the aperture value is F/2.

Beautiful shots and bokeh for a very expensive lens

Wow! Really beautiful images here - excellent use of this special lens. I've been fascinated by the Domiron since I first saw it... both by the wonderful design as well as the unique rendering, when it's used creatively.

Funny how the bokeh can be so different from the same lens :p

How does the Domiron compare eith the first Pancolar 50/2 made by Zeiss?

I have the last and the soul of both seem to be very similar to me.

Any opinion?

I used to have both of these lenses. They are completely different. Absolutely.
And the biggest difference is the bokeh.
More or less similar in character to Domiron - Kuribayashi Orikkor 50/2. But it is less sharp and less contrasting.

If you do not pursue the goal of obtaining a similar result (this is impossible), then I would pay attention to Panсolar 55/1.4.

As a portrait lens, Domiron is worse for my taste than a "flora-lens".

I finally got a Domiron as well and as expected, it's a lot of fun!

That being said it's not making the magical images shown by some (significantly more skilled people than me) here on it's own. So my first attempts are, well... first attempts.

I've countless flaws... a lack of character ain't one! by simple.joy, on Flickr

I hope to get a better feeling for the sweet spots of this lens over time, because I feel like it's one of the most unique ones I ever used.

It appears to me a lot of the incredible quality of your shots has to do with excellent focusing and composition, but I got no idea how you get that level of clarity wide open - very impressive. What camera are you using the lens on?
