I tend to say "NO".

Well, I don't see any CA, impressive performer imho.

I happened to shoot this with an apochromatic lens a couple of days ago, for comparison's sakes. Rodenstock Magnagon 5.6/75 on NEX-3. This lens is supposedly an industrial version of the APO-Rodagon-D.

Nice photo!
Am I missing something or are you hiding the name of the lens from us?(For the moment, I mean)

Respectfully, it seems to have CA for my eyes.

Red at one side, green at the other, Lateral one?

Some apochromatic lenses are not perfect in the CA camp. Minimized it, yes. But without CA at all, no.

My Leica telyt 180/3,4 is not one of the better APO lenses- It has minimal CA in some circumstances, but it is there.

The longitudinal CA is very difficult to be in control, the red near OOF and the green far OOF, tend to stay more or less in almost all images. You can close the aperture, yes.

By my eyes, no, I do not see much if any CA. Id say it looks like a good performer.

@iangreenhalgh1

That's a great shot with a seemingly great lens.

It is a Nikon UV Nikkor 105mm I just got, making some tests with it.... Wink

This was shot fully open at f4.5.

Need to find a scientific target and repeat testing.

Yes. It seems the CA is not present or not visible. Look forward for your UV photos. Wink

Thanks Calvin, Yes, there will be UV images of course Wink

Here a test of a metallic precision ruler shot against the light, the worst situation. The color artifacts are grating effects of the metallic surface.

Looks very good to me.... Wink

Interesting lens. It appears to be apochromatically connected for visible light. Probably mean it is also apo for UV light.

It is apochromatically corrected from UV to (near) IR. Has a flat transmission too

It's on my wish list for a while. A long while.
Hellishly expensive.
No CA on my IPS panel.

Yep, waited a very long time for that one, too! Has gotten rather rare
and a collector's item...

I see no CA, looks good to me.
I would love to see more pictures from it since I know I'll never own it, but have been very curious about the Micro Nikkor line.
You may want to update the thread title to include the lens info.
