I recently discover there is 2 small specks, some kind of paint chips, between lens elements inside my Distagon 4/18 AEG:
This used to not be there. They show up starting at f/8 and smaller. Is there any convenient disassembly of this lens, or is there any method to still service this lens? I agree with Attila, no way should a non-qualified person even attempt to take this lens apart.
I don't think it's even in need of a service, those specks won't have any effect. _________________ I don't care who designed it, who made it or what country it comes from - I just enjoy using it! |

They're invisible at f/4 and f/5.6. But f/8 - f/16 they are visible in the picture ... _________________ Canon EOS 6D | Canon EOS 60D | Canon EOS-M | Voigtlander Nokton 1.4/35 | Zeiss Distagon C-Y 4/18 | Zeiss Distagon ZF 2/28 | Samyang 1.4/35 | Zeiss Planar C-Y 1.4/50 | Zeiss Planar C-Y 1.4/85 | Zeiss Makro-Planar C-Y 2.8/100 | Zeiss Sonnar C-Y 2.8/135 | Nikkor ED Ai-S 2.8/180 | Canon FD SSC Fluorite 2.8/300 | Tair-3S 4.5/300 |

So they change position when you rotate the lens in the camera mount (firmly hand holding it)?
When the specks in the image stays at the same position it could be dirt on the sensor (or more exactly on the filter in front of the sensor). _________________ Camera modification, repair and DIY - some links to look through: http://www.4photos.de/camera-diy/index-en.html
