Canon 28 mm 2,8 Vivitar 70-210 2,8 macro and Tamron 35-70 macro for about $80.- included shipping. Was that a good deal for me?

The Komine Vivitar is hard to find.

Sounds like a good deal to me, provided all the lenses are in good condition. The Canon alone is worth about what you paid for all three. Tamron made two 35-70 lenses, the 09A and the 17A. Both are fine lenses, but the 17A is supposed to be excellent. Which did you get? _________________ Michael

Yes I probably got the worst of them, but I already have a Vivitar 28-90 Komine, so I don´t need the Tamron. |

The Vivitar S1 28-90 is a superb lens. But the adaptall-2.com site does state that the 09A gives "above average optical performance. Image sharpness is excellent with very good contrast, and aberrations are very well controlled." So it is no slouch either. _________________ Michael

I've got the 17A and it is worthy of the praise it gets. It's almost as good as the Minolta MD 35-70 macro. SP or not, it's one of the good ones.
