I have long time hesitated to upload this, but what a heck. Very Happy
Probably the best place might be "rangefinder.com", but I promised to
Attila to lure general lens loving people to this MFlenses. Very Happy Very Happy So....
(The only person might peek this thread will be Sun...16?)

I used Nokton on M6 and Hexanon on M2, and the film used is Fuji Reala
and scanned by EPSON V700 without any options. USM is applied under
PSE (PhotoShopElement, 100,1,0) and some color balance. Shots are all hand-held,
used the same exposure for the both cameras after using M6+NOKTON 50/1.1.

Always CV NOKTON photo first, and click the photo to enlarge

both @f5.6

both @f5.6 (both are trimmed to show the same scene)

From the above two shots, it is hard to tell which is which except slight difference in colour.

both @f1.1 and 1.2 slightly different angle

both @f1.1 and 1.2

Murano glass shop both @f1.1 and 1.2 slightly trimmed t show the same area (see bokeh)

Nokton @f5.6 and 100% at upper right corner to see coma aberration during day

M-Hexanon @f5.6 and 100% at upper right corner to see coma aberration during day

Generally speaking M-Hexanon has warmer colour rendition, and less vignetting than NOKTON but difference is small.
It appears to me NOKTON at wide open seems a bit sharper than M-Hexanon at its f1.2, Hexanon seems to have
residual coma aberration more than NOKTON, hence bokeh is a bit uglier.

So the current on going price is about double for M-Hexanon due to scarcity, NOKTON is a bargain in a sense today.
Since it is difficult to see much difference between these two lenses, of course people may find preferences.
Sorry I did not include Canon 50/1.2 L-mount lens in here, because hard to carry three camera and lens sets. Very Happy
If the price matters, Canon is hands down winner I guess.

Thanks for the very interesting comparison, Koji !
They both seem excellent lenses; it's very hard to select one, they are on the same quality level. The only really visible difference is the warmer tone of the Hexanon, the reason why, perhaps, I would choose the Nokton if I had to buy one.

Extra photos by CV NOKTON 50/1.1 click the photo to enlarge

morning glory @f1.1 Reala (not a good composition)

another photg @f2? Reala (trimmed)

@f1.1 Superia 200 (MFD 1m)

@f1.1 Superia 200 (shaked, did not have time, a girl in cetre has strange ear to nose "ring/bar".... and see comas at upper right, normal amount I guess)

These photos looks sharper if I used M8, which should be fixed but I am too lazy.
