I saw a CZJ Sonnar with a Contax Rangefinder mount for sale and was wondering whether there is anyway to adapt it to EOS. Or is it time to try an RF?

Thanks.

http://www.markerink.org/WJM/HTML/mounts.htm

Register distance for the Contax RF is much shorter than EOS (@35mm vs 44mm), so if there was a mechanical method of mounting it - and there may be, anything is possible - it would be good only for macro.

Maraming salamat Luisalegria. I guess I have to start thinking about RF now. Or I will probably get it for resale purpose, if I can get it cheap.

The word 'salamat' as used in the Asia Pacific region has root in semitic languages - 'salam' in Arabic, meaning Peace; 'shalom' in Hebrew. How interesting!

Thanks again.

Ha ha ha. Looks good though. I can't eat that but I do like the Turkish Soujuk which is similar.

Oh oh...is this turning into a lens->language->food discussion.

Yep. I think its the same word in Malaysia, Indonesia, and all Philippine languages. It must be straight from the Arabic.

Also, interesting is "alak", "arak", "arrack", etc., which is a common word for alcoholic drinks from the Middle East to the Philippines.
