Well I don't know. I have to shoot this one some more. The lens looks so very promising to me but, the camera needs more exercise. I have not shot it in a year and the shutter hangs occasionally. These few snaps are the least artistic but the ones that came thru without half images. Mostly the shutter is hanging on higher speeds Question Anyhow please take a look and let me know what you think. These are just the photo lab scans with no adjustment at all. This is fuji s160 print film all shot using sunny 16 (naturally). The rangefinder is pretty accurate so I got that going

It does look promising. I have the camera with no film in it now. For a couple days I will exercise the shutter whenever my hands are empty. It is too bad that I could not show a couple wide open shots. As I mentioned it is the high speeds that are hanging. Next week I will try and shoots some slides and scan at home. This was really more a test roll with poorish scan quality.

Andy, if 1-2-3-4 are test shots they are amongst the best test shots I ever saw! Smile

I am really impressed by the quality of the Zeiss Opton. The detail of the last photo is unbelievable from a 135 film!

Thanks Orio. I was just walking around the yard trying to finish the roll. It will be interesting to see how some transparencies come out. Prior to this roll I have only shot B+W with this camera. Your purchase of the Kiev inspired me to get this one in rotation. It's exciting for me like I bought a new cam Smile

I really like them, they have indeed a special "feel", don't know if it's the lens or the film or both.

What scanner did you use?

These are just the scans from the lab. The film is fuji pro 160S print film. I like the look of this film. It has always served well. I might try and scan one or two of these at a higher resolution and post them up. The grain is actually much smoother than these show.

Seems you are lucky with your lab!

Impressive! And No.2 is absolutely amazing!

And what about the corner quality of #3?
We are talking of an either pre-war, or immediately post-war lens.

Yes, love #3, the climbing rose! Andy, in the crop, I can't read the print on
the small bottle under the lady's arm, what's up with that? Laughing Kidding,
some truly great results! Smile
