Very sharp lens, silky smooth background, no problem with flare at all.
I am impressed

Looks great to me, I can't see any axial CA in the bokeh either, one of the more common problems I see with adapted lenses. Perhaps because it's a relatively modern design? _________________ - Dave

The G lenses were great on the Contax G series (ask Orio about it) and they are fantastic on the NEX!

The color shift on the left and right edges seems pretty extreme though. Is it possible to correct this easily? |

Should be easy if you create a lens profile with CornerFix. I never did it myself.. too much time lost in post processing - you need to convert the raw files to DNG before you can process them with CornerFix.
I haven't figured out if this is caused by the adapter i use or this lens makes color shift on other cameras.
Anyway the color shift is only visible in some situations (like snow landscapes).
Those 2 are some of the worst I have.
PS
Found one more of the pink snow pictures

I really noticed it in your pictures of the bus and service station. I have the 45/2 on the Nex, and I dont see any color shift at all. It out-resolves the 14mp sensor though |

This is a problem only with the biogons i guess, and should be even worse on 2,8/21 Biogon.
I have 2/35 Planar and 2,8/90 Sonnar and they look just fine. The 45 mm Planar and 21 mm Biogon are on my wish list too |

Do you know what the lens casing is made of? Is it titanium, or some other metal thats been painted? |

I doubt it's real titanium.. but you never know.
I haven't found info on that anywhere and I don't have deep scratches on my lenses which can confirm if the titanium finish is just a paint |
