Hi all,

I'm organizing a "group buy" for some stuff like M42 adapters and EOS AF Confirm chips...

It's mainly for people leaving in France as to cut down re-sending costs but who knows...

You will find all details here : http://flor27.free.fr/forums/commande_groupee.html

Cheers !

Florent

Count me in for the three-axis bubble level Click here to see on Ebay.

That vendor also has an interesting focus rail but as its a bigger item it might bump your shipping costs too much. Click here to see on Ebay

I'm in Nice (06).

I have this bubble level and I don't find it usefull because as far as I've tested it on 350D, is not well fixed on the camera hot shoe and also not very accurate .

Let me test it with the 5D this week-end and I will let you know my thoughts.

Ah okay, thanks for the warning.

I'm looking for a level that covers 3 axes (although I only need 2 at a time) so a level with two hot shoe mounts would be fine too. I need to be able to level with the camera pointing down on a tripod as well as landscape and portrait. Thats why a 3-way level sounded interesting.

Are you trying to make a panoramic head for cheap ? Wink

Good guess, but no. I'm trying to make a macro stage to photograph slices which can be stacked to gain a much greater DOF.

I may be interested in the macro focusing rails and the 400D screen protector I wonder if the price will be cheaper to order direct though?

I've asked for the price of the focusing rail, will do with the focusing screen.

Remember that all products will be shipped once to me then I will dispatch so you will have to pay shipping charges from France.

I'm intrigued how you can use a bubble level that's fixed on the hot shoe mount and still have the camera pointing downwards. Is there some way of adjusting the angle between the bubble and the camera?

no you cant they are fixed in relation to the camera, also for macro horizon I would have thought was less important. but maybe chris is cooking up something different altogether.

Chris will do stack macro shots so he does need non moving (dead ?) subjects... entomography ? But that is not related to bubble lever.

I'm thinking Chris maybe wants to use it like an old-fashioned theodolite, where you can set an angle of depression of the telescope independent of the bubble, which always remains level. This ensures that the angle between the line of sight and true horizontal is always constant, whichever direction the telescope is pointing. As I say, I'm intrigued. Smile

Then a good old fashioned plumb bob (plumbline) would be better. Protractor, string and a weight.

Hi Chris,

Price for the bubble level is 6 US$.
Price for focus rail is 36 US$ + 9.5 US$ shipping (I'm sharing with you the 19 US$ extra) + 6,30 € of re-shipping within France, so it's 5 US$ less than the price with p&p on his eBay store (aroune 60 US$ for France).

Please tell me if still interested !
