Not all the time, 110° FoV is hard to expose perfect (but even harder to compose  ).
I don't like HDR, that's why I take two exposures for difficult scenes, one for the sky and one for the rocks, like a ND grad filter but without filter.

I do the same  ! I find it better than ND grads, much finer control if needed.

Yes, that's true and I think it's true for some other Zeiss lenses too.
The price is the same, at the moment ~1500 Euros in good and ~2000 in very good condition. Not a bargain, and I would prefer the original lens
I think the D15 is a collectible lens, only 1056 have been made. And there should be not more than 1055 lenses left - because I have wrecked one last year 
One of our members owns a Super-Elmar 15, don't remember his name, but he was the guy with the incredible Leica collection. You better don't search for the thread!
