Hi there

Im looking for lenses that I wanna use with Canon 5d mark iii for filming/video. I realise that the size of the sensor makes all the PL mount or C mount lenses impossible to use but I also know of the Angenieux 2.5-3.3/35-70 in ais or Leica mount that would be ideal for filming. Is there other made for slr cameras I dont know of. I own a few nikon ais that im super happy with, i really like the quality of the image I get but they are very small and hard to use with a follow focus.

Im really grateful for any ideas or do I have to buy a 4/3 camera to be abole to buy old affordable lenses.

Ideal for me would to be the canon L primes but at this moment I can afford them. Wanna have a wide angle and a 50' plus a short tele.

Many thanks

There are a lot of vintage manual lenses that are great for filming. It just depend on what focal length you want. Most of the time They are as good or even better than Canon L lenses.
