Cheap lens with very good performance, similar to the one of the Pentax-M 50mm 1.7

To mount it I had to use two adapters piggybacked: NEX-4/3 and on top 4/3-Pentax K:

Some samples:

Focus on the ventilation slots on the lamp:

Focus on the petal's edge:

Focus on the figurine's head:

Quite sharp, notice the fabric texture:

Focus on the leftside flower, soft bokeh:

Focus on the water drops, on the flower:

Sharp @F4:

Regards.

Last sample especially nice, NEX has damn fine sensor , make almost any lens too good Laughing seriously I know this is a good lens.

I tend to agree with Attila, the last one is nice.
The lens seems to be very sharp too.

I wonder who made this lens. Chinon did not have a lens factory,
that was a common knowledge in japan. (thou I have no confirmation)

Might be Cosina?.
Chinons trend to be fine lenses, I haven't found any really bad...
Thanks for your comments, Attila & Koji. Smile

Tomioka made numerous lenses under Chinon brand , perhaps when Tomioka was gone , Cosina made for them too. I guess Chinon bought their lenses from actual third-party lens makers like Tomioka, Tokina, Cosina etc.
