As I already announced, I wanted to go back to take pictures of his stunts, when there was not so much contrast between shade and a blazing sun. On sunday the sky was overcast and there were strong gusts of wind.
I had the AF Nikkor ED 2.8/180 with me, but I focussed manually all the time, of course, or else I wouldn't show the pictures here.
All at @ f2.8 ISO 320, and you can see that I didn't always hit the focus perfectly.
1. Mr. Chen prepares for his performance. You can see the dent in the bridge of his nose, where he puts the heavy stuff he balances :
2. The act with the eggs. First with one:
3. With two:
4. With three:
Normally he does it with four, but when he tried this, the wind became so strong that he broke off.
The stunt with 15-16 plates, a cup, a spoon and a lid starts with two single plates, then come two, then three, four and five at once.
4. When I arrived, he had just thrown up four, as you might be able to see:
5. Now five at once:
6. Here comes the cup:
7. The next two are crops. First the spoon (some CA included):
8. And now the lid:
9. And here is the end of the act: standing on one leg, balancing everything on his head, two rings going in opposite directions around foot and knee he blows two trumpets simultaneously:
And that's the last you are going to see of him, I promise. _________________ Zorki 4
