Jes, offer to buy the lenses separately, I'm sure they would *very*
inexpensive! If you believe that, I have a small high school in the
midwest I want to sell you! Laughing

The Leica M7 is the latest rangefinder camera in the nearly half century old M line, proudly released in the Spring of 2002 and hailed by one authority as "One step closer to perfection." It is the first M camera with aperture priority automation (automatic shutter speeds).
The upshot? The Leica M7 will be the most successful and best-loved Leica ever.

Jesito if you want to spend so much money ( Shocked Rolling Eyes ) it's better to go to a professional shop with guarantee.
I think this seller is too expensive, ffordes sell mint body 1500?.

Hi Bill,
Here people use to sell Pacific islands instead... Wink If you're interested, we could swap a Pacific island by a small high school... Laughing

The price is not excessive, have you seen what is one of the two lenses?
An APO-Summicron 90
Look in the current Leica catalogue for the price of this lens...

The error of the seller is to sell these things all together, it will be more difficult.
But if you make the sum of the cost of the APO-Summicron + the M7 + the motor + the Elmarit 24, you will see that the price is correct.

Orio, you're right. But even being correct the price, I think is too much for a camera... (At least for me, I'd like to think that the good photos are taken by the photographer, not by the camera...)

Best regards,
Jes.

Yes, I agree it's too much in absolute terms.
But even if it's not a reasonable price, yet, it's the market price...

Yes, the price is OK. Of course, I would not pay this money for a cam (my wife would kill me!)

But if you want this set, you will have to pay that much...

Henri Cartier-Bresson described the Leica as an extension of his eye
Maybe he could have made good photo with a autofocus Canon
But if he was happy with Leica, it's OK for me

H C-B could probably have taken decent pics with a Box Brownie or an Instamatic. Like many others, of course, he was happy with what he was used to.
