Welcome to this forum.

Congratulations on the beautiful portraits! I like the compositions.
My favourites are 2, 3, 4 - all perfectly composed.

Which version of the Tessar 2.8/50 did you use?

Hello and wellcome .

Now, many will want a f:2.8 Tessar like it was the case of Industar 50-2 and Meyer Trioplan which became (even more) highly regarded after some very good shots posted here Very Happy (by the way, many were mounted on a Oly dSLR).

Attila, have you seen this Jena ? it have 5 blades !
I am sure you have a lot like this and never count the blades Laughing

Yes I never interest about blades Smile latest MC has at least three variation. This Tessar is very common and very underrated lens. One times I used parallel with a Micro-Nikkor 55mm f3.5 wasn't huge difference between them.
Good as any other 50mm more expensive lenses.

Very nice shots. The out of focus areas look a little busy and 'stripey' to me. I didn't notice the first time because its hard not to look at the attractive model Razz

Welcome to this forum! Enjoy your stay!

This is a very attractive lady. My fav shots are 2 and 3, these are professional (model and photographer)!

I like all of them. Excellent captures.

I don´t know the word, but I hope you understand. I would like to see some PP on the skin, in Danish the word is marzipan skin.

Welcome indeed. From Belarus? I checked the flights and there aren't any today, and my wife threatened murder. What a lovely rendering of a gorgeous lady. Haven't got my Tessar yet - it's taking its time from the UK. Mad Mad

I like it that way, actually. It looks natural, real.
I can't stand those fashion magazines where the skins of the models are nothing but a carpet of Gaussian blur.

And besides: I think she has a nice skin. Smile

She is a gorgeous lady and this series photographed extremely well. I like both type of photos no problem if ladies are pretty... In this time in Hungary media pick up only kind of ugly chicks and show them everywhere...

Thanks all for good responses Smile

Tessar Not so sharp objective but it its advantage At photographing of portraits, wrinkle disappear, tone smooth out, Warm colours ... Portraits are become the magic!

I only resize this photo (no Photoshop)

full-size portrets with Marina:

and I very like my OLYMPUS E-330 by his colour rendition ...

I always say also this fact a good portrait lens is not very sharp!

I always say that when a beautiful lady looks at the camera like Marina does in the first picture, you could also shoot using the bottom of a wine bottle! Laughing

They are great shots. I'm glad you've decided not to touch them with a PP program - they are fine the way they are.

One thing that I personally would like to see would be a bit more 'atmosphere.' Possibly wait for a time of day when the lighting is more dramatic - either sunrise or sunset. It is also during those times when the coloring of the sky puts out a warmer tone which is often desired in portraits. Even or flat make for easy shooting but often less impressive results, at least in my opinion. But other than that these are perfect.

You have right on human portraits , but on animals I prefer very sharp lenses.

VGR: another image of Marina like this last one, smiling behind the roses, and I'll be desperately fallen in love!

Fantastic portrait, really: you have a talent. Great pose.
