A fine macro lens, previously unheard of is the Carl Zeiss Jena Macro Floatar 2.8/35mm, mostly
used for scientific imaging which has a built in long helicoid, focusing down to 15cm (0.15m). As
the name already implies, it uses floating lens technology for best macro performance.

Both shot fully open, handheld:





On a c-mount adaptor it would need a bit machining, since the rear end is too wide, but the use of a
small c-mount extension ring makes it perfectly fit - it is for macro anyway (I did not want to machine my pristine example since it is a rare lens).

Never seen or heard before also for me, and I thought I know Zeiss well...
