Welcome and enjoy your stay!

Can you give us some more information about this lens (type, serial etc.)

Hello rekaminda. Smile

To post an image here, you need something like Photobucket or the like.

At the bottom of your image in Photobucket for example you'll see an IMG code field - just copy paste the whole IMG code string into your message here.

Preview your post to make sure it links and opens the image properly and then submit it.

HTH.

hi folks, thanks for the info. anyway, it's a carl zeiss jena ddr 50mm P 1:1.4 mc, it was on my praktica, can remember the model, gave it to my friend as a token to convert it to m42 mt, so the serial number it not there anymore, it was on the previous pb mt... but it hell of a lens, I thinks it nicer than my ef50mm 1.4, bokeh color etc. If i remember it correctly my friend said it good a nice star ninja bokeh?? anyways, I have post some img taken with this lens in www.photomalaysia.com, search the user name rekaminda... thanks for the help...need to reg under photobucket then...

i've use my almost dump vivitar series 1 90mm/2.5 vmc 58mm filter ring to shoot the lens pics, wow what alens and now my 180mm macro L stays in the bag most of the time, kinda hard to do 1:1 without tripod Sad

No, any image sharing site will do as long as it allows direct linking - I only used Photobucket as an example because I didn't know that your forum allows linking.

Is this the image you wanted to show?

If it is, you don't need Photobucket and can stick with your existing site as all I did was to copy paste the UBB code for this image from your forum into this message.

Link to full size:

Your album is extremely good by the way, as is the above image. Cool

Don't know for sure, but I think the "P" in "carl zeiss jena ddr 50mm P 1:1.4 mc" stands for "Pancolar" which as a 1.4/55 was one of the most professional lenses in the CZJ line (standard lens for the Pentacon Super).
Or it might be a DDR copy of the Zeiss Planar 1.4/50, a great lens!

It definitely is a "very nice to have" lens. Congratulations!

Nice to see you here Rekaminda! Especially thanks for these shoots! This is a Praktica lens Carsten ,don't mix them. Screw mount lenses can be different than PB mount lenses.

hi atilla and the rest, glad to join u guys here, it kind of "exotic" using non OEM manual lens on film/digital body, most of the new breed will only talk about the native mt lens, here in malaysia mostly canon and nikon AF lens... i will start posting MF lens samples here more... got quite a collection... gheez how to make a proper tube for my 530mm series ix cooke process lens, let's see whether it can whack the 500/600mm L that cost a BOMB... try to get a used k10d for the IS thingy, it's really work on MF lens esp the longer focal range, my friend have tested it... if I give you an ftp acces can you send me large files also ? I would publish them in mflenses.com/gallery. if yes I will send you an access in PM. Please also let me know your copyright information. I would like to get 11 pcs 5-6MPx files taken with each lenses+one from the lens itself.

You'll find the same thing over here too with a lot of the Canon and Nikon forums in that they can't see a world of lenses outside of their respective marques. Sort of if it's made in East Germany or Russia, it must be pretty crap.

hi atilla, sure can, no problem. It a honor for me to be in the gallery. As copyright concern, as long it is for non-commercial use it would be ok, otherwise maybe some fee if the viewer what to use it for commercial purposes.

images from which lens that u want? was it from the vivitar S1 macro and CZJ 50mm 1.4 or some other lens?

usually i shoot small jpeg&RAW together (jpeg for web purposes, about 1mb compress file on 1ds) and RAW about 11mb, so u want the process RAW?

glad to have a positive response from u guys
Very Happy

Jpeg 85% 5-6 MPx is fine, this pictures will never been use for commercial purpose if might be yes I will redirect user to you.

Let me know what kinf of lenses do you have for samples.

I would get samples taken with this Praktica for sure ,but might be others also.
