I was one of those nikkor fans - but never in the "nothing else compares" way that so many blindly subscribe to. Just ignorance on my part. That is one lovely lens - and I must say again that this forum shows how many great lenses there are out there if you only look.

Sometimes it pays to go off the beaten track a little when it comes to lenses as you can sometimes get a pleasant surprise with a lens that hasn't cost much, or that there is very little information on.

I have got a "P" copy. But until can not modify the P mount to M42. Hope to send soon to my friend who knows how to do.

The blind denigration of any marque of equipment that's not your chosen one is commonplace. Apparently many out there think, " if it wasn't made by MY manufacturer it cant be any good. " But look on the bright side, it keeps the MF lenses down in realistic territory for prices.
