Tonight we have another interesting sample. Carenar 35 mm F/2.8 with marking of "made in Korea". Possibly one of Samyang's earlier work. The lens I have is in PK mount, made of metal and rubber focus ring. Aperture scale is in full stop and closest focus distance in about 0.7 meters. The lens is horrible wide open (see picture 5, the F/2.8 sample, caption is wrong) but improves somewhat at F/4 (picture 4) and becomes usable at F/5.6 (picture 6). Interestingly, I see some swirling bokeh action in photo 8. All in all, a cute little thing but nothing to write home about. It is not the greatest, but not particularly bad either. Similar series includes 28mm and 135mm in M42. Haven't seen this reviewed widely. For chuckles and grins.
