I classify these Pentax "F" lenses somewere between the very old and the modern lenses. They have a bit of both worlds.

*wow*
They are looking - don't know how to say exactly - very "fresh". Wonderful!

I have always found the quality of x1.4 converters acceptable. I am unfortunately without one at the moment, I’m have having a problem finding a Pentax PK model.

What are you using?

@ rob, Its the Sigma 1.4 apo.
I have been told one of the best and it sure gives good results.
To bad new they cost about 200 euro. I was lucky to find one in mint condition for 100 euro.

I agree with Michael, "fresh" is really the word to describe these flowers.
Which is something that is not said often of photographed flowers, so it think it is really a compliment.

Thanks Jigt. Nice lens and I like your Camo!

I bought some Camo matterial off the roll 5 ft wide from my local Army surplus store cost ?4 a meter, it is easy to sew or glue into 'Socks' to cover lenses, I am at the moment planning to make some tripod leg covers with it. Doing that with a strip of foam to go round the leg then covered in camo secured with a bit of knicker elastic. You can also buy camo tape off eBay. I have my Tair 300 dressed in that and also cover lens hoods with it.
