Long story short: my PIXMA MG5320 has suffered a printhead failure. Crying or Very sad
First not accepting inks, then the "Incorrect Printhead Installed" error.
It's a great printer, but a new printhead is costly, US~$100.

Current Canon rebate of US$200 against PIXMA PRO-100,
found an authorized dealer selling for $319, to bring my ultimate cost
to US$119!

Another forum mentions recurring sales/deals direct from Canon to obtain paper,
such as buy 1 and get 9 free, spend $30 on ink and get free paper, etc.
I'll only have to periodically check for their current offers, and I can obtain
a whole bunch of papers for free or almost nothing!

This is exciting!
I'll have a printer capable of printing some of the stuff I'd like to display at home
and give to family and friends.

Awwww, CRAP! Crying or Very sad
That offer wasn't available when I bought. DAMMIT!
Just like in January.

Well, it's still a damned excellent printer.
It arrived today and is generating exceptional quality prints.

I missed the good sale too, had to pay all of $119 too. But a fantastic printer, heavy too - replaced my aged Epson R1800 which is much lighter in weight. The network connection was easy so I can keep the printer where it's safe and out of the way. I just have to remember to turn it on and get it set up upstairs when I want to print.

Which reminds me, I want to try out the B&W printing - and fake platinum printing - on art paper. Guess this weekend is the time.
