Camera EOS 5D MkII and PP in LightRoom..

I miss the Zeiss micro-contrast a bit..
but bokeh is excellent IMHO..

Yes, typical Canon images, they are beautiful in their own genre - very sharp in focus and super smooth in bokeh - but tonally, they are quite the same in all registers - yes I agree with Trifox, they don't have the middle "bump" of the Zeiss lenses. I miss that too, but it's really a matter of personal taste.
"Leica-oriented" people will like better these Canon images
"Zeiss-oriented" people surely do like better the Nikkor images.
All in all it's now the same "aesthetic battle" in Japan that was in Germany Smile
Although I like using my Leica glass, I have always been in the Nikkor-Zeiss side of the battlefield. Wink

Attila thanks!!

@ Orio - I would add this --

I am trying to be more out of this battle because this really makes me sick! Smile
So, I am teaching myself to accept pictures with less micro-contrast.. Cool
I have chosen the Canon FD line and I'll try to bring more (especially telephoto) FD glasses into life on EOS.

I think FD line is good for me at this stage Smile I prefer warmer tonality - Nikkor is too cold in my eyes and Zeiss is in the middle between Canon and Nikkor lenses but propably closer to Nikkor - not too warm, not too cold - it depends on focal lenghts.

collecting Zeiss telephoto lenses - no - I have given up this idea
collecting Leica telephoto lenses - no - I haven't started it yet
collecting Canon FD telephoto lenses - yes, good for me Smile cheap and the quality is good enough..
collecting Nikkor telephoto lenses - no - I don't know anything about them Smile

Time to start to know more about Nikkor lenses, all are excellent and many of them cheap like Canon FD.
