I did some family trades and I got back the Canon new FD 100mm f/2.8. I got to play with it last night, during golden hour. Gosh, I forgot that even closed down to f/8, the DoF of a 100mm is far from infinite. Focus was on the girls, so background mountain is not in focus... but I still think the picture is cool

Yeah, I saw that too, but the trees are not completely. I need to do more thorough testing with this lens, I feel there is something slightly wrong about it. _________________

Yes, light was not as nice and I didn't find the same models, but focus is now correct (my adapter was loose, so aperture remained at max)
#2 is really a stitch...

Back when I was shooting lots of film I had a nFD 100/2.8 and I used it a lot. I really liked that lens. Very sharp, compact, just a very useful optic. Your photos bring back vague reminesces. _________________ Michael

I know, I posted almost the same pic 6 or 7 weeks ago - in my FD 50/1.4 topic... Same viewpoint, but weather and light were quite different (and not the same lens of course). _________________
