That is useful, nifty! It was interesting to learn that my AE-1 (FQ0105) is from Fukushima, January 1976. So that makes is a pretty early AE-1. My RT is FD1002, meaning Fukishima, October 1989, also fairly early in the run.

I wish Pentax and Nikon had similar codes.
