I think its same lens, available from China seller for a long time.. now in NY...

The interesting thing is the application for this monster.

I would expect this could be useful in aerospace R&D.

Excellent hiking lens! Because you don't need to hike anywhere, just sit in a comfortable chair and shoot the things that are miles away. Laughing

Hi Abbazz,

this is actually a double entry since it was announced in the marketplace a few days ago. http://forum.mflenses.com/canon-5200mm-f-14-t11026.html there also the link to the Canon site had recently been added: http://www.canonfd.com/mirrorlenses/pages/page10.html

I had mentioned there, that the mount is missing, the nitrogen tanks for keeping the mirror dry as well as other pieces. The price is way OTT in my opinion.

I guess it was for mil. application and quite a few must have been sold.
