Just bought this lens and was eager to test it on my journey to work.

Picture taken with a Sony A7II at F2,0

I am very pleasantly surprised.

I am new to this forum but I already posted this photo on Dpreview in the Adapted lens subforum in a thread I initiated showing the merits of various Minolta lenses and not oriented on comments and critics. If this contradicts in any way this forum etiquette please advise and delete the thread.

Otherwise I will be happy to read your posts.

Thank you Tom. Sharpness of this lens is stunning even wide open and micro contrast can be fixed in post.

Bokeh speaks for itself.

However wide open depth of field is challenging when you try to focus.

When I succeed I feel like having won a little battle against myself. Amongst many fails a good photo is rewarding.

Probably why I enjoy manual focusing, besides price of gear obviously.
