This bloke was up there - he was one of the London trio; Duffy, Bailey, Donovan, [1] who took the photographic world and shook it by the ears. The photograpers were the stars, back then.
In 1978 he took a pile of his negatives into the back garden of his studio/house and set fire to them. He didn't click a shutter for nearly three decades after that, until his son persuaded him to re-visit some of his old clients and do some updates for a new exhibition that would more or less mark his passing - as he has a fairly terminal lung disease.
The documentary on BBC4 has been captured and rendered to crappy Block-O-Vision for your viewing pleasure and can be downloaded in two parts, for free, from here
