I recently acquired this little triplet enlarging lens.
I thought that it might make an interesting portrait shooter.
Well, I haven't done any portraits yet, but a quick walk around the garden shows that it has some potential.

I have two différents Boyer 100/4.5 lenses (one "B" and one standard, smaller), they have the same rendering as yours Wink

Thanks everyone.
Here are a few from this morning.
Still no portraits but there is no one home but me.

There was some nice light around this afternoon, so I took a few more.
I do like this little lens

For this kind of photography the lens works nice indeed.

Nice again, but what I am very curious about is what you named as a target for the lens: portraits.

Yes, me too.
It will have to wait until we are out of lockdown.

Thank you Klaus.
Here is the lens on cheap set of bellows.
The mount plate is simply screwed to an old T mount.
The lens has little or no coatings.
I am surprised by the quality of the images, better than I was expecting

Beautiful rendering Tom. i like the gradations in your monochrome shots and the gentle transitions from light to dark (microcontrast?) of this lens. Looks good on the bellows, too! It reminds me of the look i get with some of the older enlarging Ektars. Works greater flowersand faces!

Thank you for those kind words.
Some lenses seem to like monochrome.
This one is quite at home there.

Chasing an infant with a bellows lens is not easy, and it is difficult to focus, but here is one image taken recently
