I did a small bokeh test of my 50-58mm lenses. Tripod, remote, eight participants. For all were made the same settings? 1.5 meters, wide open diaphragm.
1-XR Rikenon 50mm f2.0 (ver1)
2-Minolta MD-III 50mm f2.0
3-Canon nFD 50mm f2.0
4-Nikon pre AI (K) 50mm f2.0
5-Pentacon Prakticar 50mm f1.8 (orestor ver, mdf 33)
6-Fujinon ebc 50mm f1.6
7-Pentax smc 55m f1.8
8-Re Auto Topcor 58mm f1.8 (black)

It seems that Minolta shows a smaller minimum focusing distance (MDF) but it is not, I took another picture and it showed the same. Most likely the distance scale is not true. I spent two test and on both the Canon showed "viruses" in circles. Fujinon gives a good feeling but the problem is that it is still soft on the wide open. Rikenon and Nikon played roughly equally, least "lemon" on the periphery. Pentacon a little "colorful" but also other "lemon" more on the periphery. Pentax is not bad, even good. Topcor is immediately recognizable for its small "lemons" All IMHO.
