in these weekend morning I planned to go places to photograph, but I overslept, because I was so tired after the big work effort (I made the last delivery on Friday evening and worked most of the night before.
I went out yesterday afternoon but found cloudy weather while in the morning there was blue sky and sunlight.
Same today, perfect morning and cloudy afternoon, so I did't even bother to go out at all.
Now I have one week of "almost vacation" (I need to stay available but no big work in sight), but the weather forecast speaks of cloudy weather until Tuesday then rainy weather until next week.

I've got next week off - by myself as my wife and kids will be at school - so I'm hoping the weather will be reasonable.
I've still to decide where to go. _________________ Regards

It should be good for you, I learned from experience when I was married with my norwegian wife, when bad weather here, good weather up there, and the other way around.

Don't hold your beath Steve. We've had the first snow of the winter down here today - 25mm on the ground and it's still snowing heavily. |

| I'm waiting on the snow to fall so I can get up to Glen Cloe and the Buichaille Etive Mor for some winter photography. |

Yip - snow would do me fine as well (as long as the roads are clear). My motorhome is winterised and would be a nice cosy base in those conditions. _________________ Regards

What? In England?
When I lived in England and we had some snow, everybody freaked out and went mad. Nobody dared to drive anymore and so there was an 8 hrs. delay (!) due to a traffic jam on the London orbital - and me right in the middle of that jam!
@Orio: Believe me, our weather is as bad at the moment. It is always like that when I get new stuff to play with. _________________ There are two kinds of people in the world: those who divide the world into two kinds of people, and those who don’t.

Well, you see, it's not quite the Himalayas or even the Grampians here, but at about 200m we often get snow when everybody else is sweltering. As you say, the roads are normally blocked solid so I was hoping for a day off, but it had all disappeared when I woke up this morning. I feel for you in the M25 jam - I got stuck once for 4 hours but 8 is incredible! They call it the biggest car park in the world. |

Carsten - it's a national pastime in England, you'd think we'd get used to it snowing in winter... The Scots manage a bit better than us
I'm definitely wondering whether to put my new 300 and 200mm lenses into hibernation until the spring _________________ Richard
