I was curious if somebody knew which DSLR had the above. When my
eyes start to go, this will become very important! |

| Pentax K10D is nice. As is the Canon 5D (for obvious reasons). Leica M8 and a hotshoe finder (or you could just buy new eyes instead). Otherwise shoot film and buy an Olympus OM-2n with its viewfinder that looks like a cinema! |

Or perhaps, just have a girlfriend 1/3 my age take the pictures.....
Thanks Puplet, is the OM-1's viewfinder smaller, dimmer, than the OM-2N? Curious. I really like the cinema analogy! |

Not sure about the difference between an OM-1 and the OM-2n: I remember researching it a while back (before I bought my OM-2n) and deciding that the OM-2n was better. Can't think why now...
Availability of batteries? |

There is NO difference whatsoever between the viewfinder of an OM1 and an OM2 (including -N variants). All parts in the system: screens, prisms, eyepiece optics... are identical and interchangeable.
They did come out with still-brighter screens with the OM3, 4 and 2S; these screens can be swapped out into an OM1 or OM2 but may affect the accuracy of the viewfinder meter display. In use, I don't see a lot of difference between the two screen series anyway.... they all look like a cinema. These were exceptionally large and bright back when people were USED to large, bright finder displays. _________________ I don't know what I want to be when I grow up |

Or you can buy the Canon's flagship Mark III.
I've never seen a viewfinder so huge. Almost twice as 5D's |

I'm doing fine with heavy eyeglasses (-4.25 and -7.25 ) and my Pentax *ist DL.
I did hear that the K10D or ist DS are better because of the pentaprism instead of pentamirror...
