I've seen folks bantering about the various good deals they've gotten online etc.
So I thought I would ask an obvious question -
What was your best price on a lens?
Thanks to various posts I know the following package of 2 Tamron lenses, was especially good! The first lens is a 28mmF/2.5 wide-angle lens Model 02B No. 309860 with lens cap (has a ding but not serious)
The second lens is a TAMRON ADAPTALL-2 28mm F/2.5 telemacro 80-210mm manual focus lens 103A No. 3145919
(Got both for $19.99 USD + shipping )
Heres the link:
http://cgi.ebay.ca/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=120163515601&ssPageName=ADME:B:EOIBSA:CA:31
The telemacro is sweet!!!!!!
Plus earlier I got a Sigma 75-200mm Zoom Lens f/4.5 , case, and screw on close-up lens for ($37.00 USD + shipping) Not bad for a runner-up, eh?
Over to you folk! |

Vivitar 2.8/135 No. 28xxxxx Konica Hexanon mount with rear cap, Mint+condition.
$5 + $20 shipping from Canada (surface ground mail, almost 2 months delivery)
Their prices are very good deal, but their shipping costs are always sufferable. _________________ Olympus E-500 Olympus E-330

These two are really amazing! Congrats!
I also was quite lucky, occasionally:
Hanimex Automatic 1:3.5/23
Petri 2.8/28 MC Macro
Raynox Auto 1:2.8/28
Helios-44-2 2/58
Industar-50-2 1:3.5/50
Yashica Yashinon 2.0/50
Hanimex Tele-Lens 1:4/100
Opticam 1:2.8/135
Raynox Auto 1:2.8/135
Spiratone Plura-Coat 3.8-5.6/28-200 H/D-MC Zoom
Compact Auto Zoom S 1:4-5.6/70-210 Mulitcoated
Each of these lenses I got for under € 10,-.
But then, these lenses you can quite often find for rather little money.
So no real surprises.
These lenses, which I also found for less than € 10,- (!) each,
- Vivitar Wide–Angle 1:2.8/28
- Asahi SMC Takumar 3.5/35
- Nikkor-H 2.0/50
- Carl Zeiss Jena Sonnar 1:4/135
- MC Jupiter-37AM 3.5/135
- Tamron 3.8-4/70-210 Macro 46A
I call real bargains! I mean look at this set, that's a really nice 28,35,50,135 and tele zoom lens for together less than € 50,- !!!
Another real bargain was my Telear-N 3.5/200, which I found for (can't remember exactly) under € 20,-!
And my Weltblick 1:3.5/135, although not well known and thus not respected, I also call a "real bargain", since it is a very nice lens and I also got it for under € 10,-.
A Kiron 1:2.0/28 for about € 20,-
an Auto Revuenon 1:1.4/55 for € 30,-
a Mamiya Auto Sekor 1:1.8/55 for about € 15,-
a Tamron Twin-Tele 1:2.8/135 (5.5/225) Taisei Kogaku for about € 15,-
a complete Sniper Set (TAIR 3-S 1:4.5/300) for € 30,-
a Soligor C/D 1:3,8-5,3/35-200 MC Zoom+Macro for about € 20,-
a Soligor MC 1:3.5/70-220 Macro for € 40,-
and a Tamron SP 3.5/70-210 for under € 20,- I also call "bargains".
(I can't remember the exact prices but it's at least close!)
And even if I paid about € 140,- for my Nikkor-S.C 1.2/55, I really think it was a very good catch! (Thanks, Attila!)
Yes, I think I was quite lucky! _________________ Personal forum activity on pause every now and again (due to job obligations)!

Best bargain was actually a Tokina ATX-Pro 20-35 F2.8 sold via Ebay. It was listed as not having functional AF (I'd have been happy to MF it because the ATX-Pro's work well that way) so the price was way cheaper than usual. When I got it I realised the only reason AF didn't work was because the focus ring had been moved to the MF position. |

Without a doubt the 20GBP I paid for a Tamron SP90 recently from a camera dealer via his online store. I thought might be a dud, or battered a bit, but it's absolutely fine - not mint, but just a bit used. The same lens was being sold for 150/160 in his store.
I still think it was a mistake, but I'm not complaining
There was also the Tamron 28/2.5 - a bit bruised but working fine - 1GBP, actually 99pence.
Then the Vivitar 28/2.5 Nikon fit - 5 or 6GBP - mint _________________ Dave - Moderator

I found another near mint one some time later for the same price although it does have a couple of tiny non-critical spot marks on the edges of the front element.
I forgot, I also scored a zebra Sonnar 3.5/135 M42 for ?19. |
