I picked up this big hunk of lens a few months ago with a batch of large lenses (My Elgeet Navitar and pair of Ilex Paragons, a couple of huge enlarger lenses, etc., great deal).
This is not an enlarger lens, not really a camera lens. I believe it may be a reprographic lens, used to make copies of drawings/documents. It only stops down to f/8, curiously. And it is marked "1:1 Mag". Elsewhere it shows a manufacturing date of 1964. If anybody has an idea about what this thing is, I'd like to hear it.
It is a large thing, and it took a while to figure out a way to mount it. Of course, this involved plumbing supplies.
On the bellows it is as expected, a 200mm lens.
I am not sure yet whether its mount is stable enough to take into the street. _________________ I like Pentax DSLR's, Exaktas, M42 bodies of all kinds, strange and cheap Japanese lenses, and am dabbling in medium format/Speed Graphic work. |
