Very nice.
Out of curiosity, does your serial start with 60?

Indeed it does.
Does that signify anything, or have you had a similar lens?
I am curious now... Smile

60 = 6 blade iris is common.
59 = 9 blade iris
Also the 5.8cm f1.7 = 10 blade iris.
Shhh don't tell anyone.

Zunow lens?

The 5.8cm f1.7 is Zunow, I'm not convinced the 5.5cm f1.8 is, yet, Yashica seems to have outsourced a lot during these years and eventually brought some/most inhouse, Tomioka made the Tominon lenses for sure, I would have to see the internals of the 5.8cm to see if the 5.5cm's construction is the same, if they are, that would be convincing.

Source = Me, I have a 59 and 60 serial lenses, those lenses from the links are different construction, and were made after Yashica ended the Pentimatic mount and switched to M42.
Also, 50 & 52 serials are not 59. Wink

Haha yes, she is pretty special.
Very hard to chase with a manual focus lens, especially at f1.8

I modded an adapter, but I have seen new adapters on eBay the last few months, so it looks like there may be some interest in the lenses, which I can understand.

I don't know whether this applies to discussion of Pentamatic lenses, but the silver M42 Auto Yashinon 5.5cm f/1.8 is the same lens as the chrome nose Mamiya-Sekor 55mm f/1.8. I've taken them apart and the elements are interchangeable. The only internal differences I found were in the construction of the rear optical block. The rear elements screw in a bit differently.

Zunow lens?

The 5.8cm f1.7 is Zunow

I have strong doubts the 5.8cm lens is a Zunow design. Even the linked webpage tells us there is little to really suggest that. More likely it is a Mamiya Sekor sourced lens. Although Mamiya had not released an SLR camera to market when the Pentamatic II came out, they had had SLR models in development since 1952. Part of that would have included designing lenses to go with them. For some reason they never released to the market until 1961, but it is entirely possible the 58/1.7 lens was ready for use well before that, looking for a customer as it were. The lens was released with Mamiyas' name in several versions for around 5 years, but never seen at all marked Zunow.

Of course, stranger things have happened. But without seeing solid proof, I still believe Mamiya Sekor to be the manufacturer for that lens.

The first chrome nose mamiya TL/DTL 55/1,8 should be aTokina lens, like the TL/DTL 35/2 8, 135/3,5, 135/2,8 and 200/3,5.

AFAIK the yashinon is a Tomioka lens.
