Nice looking lens, the initial tests are encouraging: the jpeg file size is pretty high even wide open. Have to get some better photos though.

Yeah, it's pretty butch. So far, looks to have good detail, the jpegs are up there, and very smooth and neutral bokeh. Unfortunately daughter keeps taking the digital camera so I've yet to get a decent sampling of photos.

I have good opinion about all Ricoh lenses , seem this is confirm that too.

Looks like the Sears version - not a coincidence I'm sure, as Sears was selling rebranded Ricohs. If so this may be a Tokina. The A-M switch style is typical.
