Have tested a Auto Chinon MC 50mm f/1.7 which has a Pentax K (PK) mount.

Below are some of the test shots taken with this lens.
The pictures are analog and are taken with a Chinon CG-5, AGFA CINEREX (X-ray film) and developed in X-tol.
Color shots are digital and are taken with a Canon 500D with lens mount adapter.

this lens seems to be a 'love - hate' thing, many people seem to rate it highly while others think it's poor. I like mine a lot, and judging by your pictures I'm not far wrong.

I like it too. It may sometimes have low contrast wide open but that may not be a con. It has a special quality wide open that makes almost every image come out nice.

I think there are lots of different lenses wearing the Chinon f1.7 50mm branding, certainly there is one made by Cimko, another that looks like a Cosina and there are certainly more variants.

They are different lenses. Sticky, dry Cosina focusing helicoid distinguish them. Talking about Pentax bayonet version.

Amazing clarity! I also have this lens which I got in a lot. I quickly trested it and di not find special. It's time to reconsider the first impression.
