Yes, that's true.

Thanks for the links, lahnet.
I have watched it a little again. And, gosh, I think it is hilarious!!!
But I do like British humour which is exactly my kind of wit and I like Monty Python. Wink

As far as Fawlty Towers is concerned, I have to admit that I've the complete collection on DVD and the scripts published in a book. Embarassed

Carsten, our friends in Germany told us once about an old English film which is broadcast every Christmas in Germany, I think it is called "Dinner For One", with a comedian called Freddie Frinton. I'm sure it would be funny in Italy too. Did you ever see it?

Of course, Peter! Whenever possible, I watch it every new year's eve!
That's a classic. It is not dubbed, all done in English (apart from the introduction), but in England nobody knows this programme.

It is not exceptionally funny, to be honest, but it's a "cult".
Everybody in the generation under 40 watches it, perhaps even under 50s. Wink

Have a look here and enjoy: http://video.google.de/videoplay?docid=9105942950207814319

You need to know that Ms Sophie is the only surviving member of an old party group and still is celebrating with her butler. Wink

Well, as far as I am concerned, I know I will disappoint many, but the car scene just can not make me laugh.
But, we can't all have the same tastes, can't we?

Then I have to admit that I am not able to understand the spoken English in the second link, they speak in a way that is too difficult for me to follow, I can only understand sparse words here and there, but not the whole conversation.
