Sometimes I laugh out loud in cinemas when such things are presented.
Look at that supposed lens - what would it be ..... maximum aperture of f32, f56........ or something equally ludicrous.
Hand held, the shutter speed would be so low that any detail would be ...... you get the idea.....
Reminds me of the battle scene in Braveheart where the Scots are charging across the field, and the rubber blades of the axes are visibly wobbling - very scary....

Lens in front is the common Tokina made 500/8 mirror tele.
It's a t-mount lens.
Its on some sort of long extension tube.
This setup would still be f/8 but extreme macro. _________________ I like Pentax DSLR's, Exaktas, M42 bodies of all kinds, strange and cheap Japanese lenses, and am dabbling in medium format/Speed Graphic work. |

At first I thought of novoflex without the stock but I think you are right it's a made up lens. One of many little fictions only moviemakers do. _________________ Hero in the 'messin-with-cameras-for-the-hell-of-it department'. Official. |

Heh, I get more "whoa" from people with my Tair-3 than my friends who have Canon 100-400. Seriously they should have just used Tair-3 for this shot. _________________ Canon EOS 6D | Canon EOS 60D | Canon EOS-M | Voigtlander Nokton 1.4/35 | Zeiss Distagon C-Y 4/18 | Zeiss Distagon ZF 2/28 | Samyang 1.4/35 | Zeiss Planar C-Y 1.4/50 | Zeiss Planar C-Y 1.4/85 | Zeiss Makro-Planar C-Y 2.8/100 | Zeiss Sonnar C-Y 2.8/135 | Nikkor ED Ai-S 2.8/180 | Canon FD SSC Fluorite 2.8/300 | Tair-3S 4.5/300 |

Thank you everybody for your contributions. I uploaded the movie to my website (link) giving acknowledgements to MFlenses forum. Sorry, but the web is in spanish. if someone is able to identify the camera or the extension tube, would be great, but I know is very difficult. There is no other (pictures) points of view. That tube reminds me the rear element of the Leitz Telyt 800mm f/6.3. Could be? |

The camera is a black Nikon F or F2 or FTn with the Photomic prism.

I don't think it's a Nikon, more likely an M42 camera, so likely a Pentax or Fujica as they made black M42 SLRs, so did Ricoh. Definitely not a Photomic head, those stick up a lot more than the prism on his camera does. _________________ I don't care who designed it, who made it or what country it comes from - I just enjoy using it! |
