"This is a well functioning example of a great film era lens.
As you can see from the pictures it is in OK overall condition.
The optics have some coating issues (needs a professional clean).
Mechanics are all ok."

And here what I got, look for yourself. Coating issues??

Certainly plenty of dirt, scratches and fungus, but COATING issues??

.

Certainly, there are issues in the coating but a good cleaning might not help to restore the original condition.

BTW, what is the extra Noflexar 35mm for?

I always have backups and this was intended as one.

I see. It seems the M42 copies is pretty rare. Every-time I see one on sell with low BIN, it disappear soon Click here to see on Ebay.de .

Coincidentally, we have another thread on this seller too.

I agree, the coating isn't the problem here. Any lens listed as “Ok condition, Optics need a clean.” and "(needs a professional clean)" I expect to be full of fungus, but that may be a pessimistic view. An honest and competent seller wouldn't have described the lens like that, thanks for letting us know this seller appears to be neither.

What's the big deal? Can't you SNAD him and make him eat the return shipping? It would only be fair in this case.

Lens has been sent back, seller refuses to refund. Had to open up a case, ebay told me that I'll get my money back for sure.

Seller ID is: superchameleon

AVOID!!!

You will get your money back but you won't get all that time wasted back.

Yes, unfortunately not.

This time with this formulation:

"The optics have some issues (Do not buy this if you are expecting a pristine lens)"

Ah, "some issues". What a dickhead.

Oh well, hence this thread... Twisted Evil

Ebay paid me back the full amount based on the evidence presented.
Seller seemingly faked a payback according to ebay. Weird...

How in the world does he have a 100% feedback? If it's e-bay that refunded your money and not him, can't you post a negative feedback?

Yes, you can do any time negative, but sometimes Ebay remove it, once I left negative in similar issue , Ebay did remove it, I did ask 3x at least why removed ? I got always empty bullshit reply..

Also, I can confirm that something is wrong with this seller.
I asked something about a particular lens which I knew it is prone to certain faults. He said as far as he knows the lens is ok, but it can not verify because the lens is already packed. Until the end of the auction there were 7 days. !
