When we where in Hamburg we also visited Hagenbeck.


Pentax K-r & Leitz Elmarit 2.8/180 @ F2.8 or F4, sometimes F5,6:

mother bear with her two children



a capybara the biggest rodent - looking a bit stupid



just a statue


some lions



baboons, my favourite apes



beautyful peacock


porcupine


a tahr, I like his expression


mischievous looking zebra


some pigs, SMC Pentax m 2/28 wide Open, K-r@Iso 1600


male Mandrill, again elmarit 2.8/180@F2.8 & K-r@Iso 3200

These are all great shots! Wonderful composition and detail and focus is just perfect. The first is my very favourite. Thanks for sharing!

Great quality. My fav is the first lion shot, excellent composition, focus and not to forget the expression of the lions.

What a wonderful set of shots! My favourite is the first lion shot, with the lioness, second from the left, thinking "I wonder what photographer tastes like?".

My favourite is the male lion, sleeping in beatitude while the females do the guard job! Laughing

What a breathtaking set! The two lion shots are wonderful and the second baboon shot and the the first peacock shot are also stunning Smile Great photographer, great lens!

I realized again how sharp this lens (Leitz Elmarit 2.8/180 2nd version) can be:

unsharpened crop @ F5.6, direct from raw-file.
