Advice needed

Hi all, I have seen a MIR 1 Grand pri Lens that I am interested in but the seller is advertising this as the "focus is a little stiff". Is this something that can easily be repaired or should this be something to steer away from. All advice gratefully appreciated , thanks.

It will need to be opened, cleaned and relubed for sure.

"little stiff" is normal for Mir, I had a copy you couldn't focus because it turned out of the mount, sometimes turning it a couple of times before focusing helps

The old russian lenses (most of them) have a brownish, dense lube which gets worse over time. If you replace it with more recent one the focusing becomes a pleasure.
